Doctrinal Statement of Bancroft Gospel Ministry, Inc.

The doctrine to which the Trustees, officers and workers of this Ministry subscribe is as follows:

We believe the Divine Inspiration and Authority of the Holy Scriptures. By this is meant a miraculous     guidance of the Holy Spirit in their original writings, extending to all parts of the Scriptures equally, applying even to the choice of words, so that the result is the very Word of God, the only infallible rule of faith and practice. Moreover, it is our conviction that God has exercised such singular care and providence through the ages in preserving the written word, that the scriptures, as we have them now, are in every essential particular as originally given, and are God's revelation of redemption as accomplished through the Person and work of Jesus Christ (II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:20,21; John 10:35; Luke 24:46,47).

We believe in one God, revealed as existing in three equal persons - the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. We believe in the Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth and that He is therefore God manifest in the flesh (John 1:14,18; Colossians 2:9).

We believe that as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin; so death passed upon all men, for all have sinned (Romans 3:23; James 2:10).

We believe that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures; that He was buried and that He arose again the third day, according to the Scriptures (I Corinthians 15:3,4). We believe, therefore, that His death and resurrection furnish the only righteous basis for the forgiveness of our sins, and our justification before God (Romans 4:2; Ephesians 1:6; Isaiah 45:21; Romans 3:21-26).

We believe that all receive forgiveness of sins and eternal life, who with the heart believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; that He died for our sins and that He arose the third day according to the Scriptures (Romans 4:5; 5:1; 6:23; I Thessalonians 4:14; Ephesians 2:8,9; John 3:36; 20:31).

We believe in the everlasting conscious blessedness of the saved, and in the everlasting conscious punishment of the lost (Matthew 25:41; John 3:36; Matthew 18:8; 25:46; Revelation 20:10).

We believe in the visible, personal, premillenial coming of our Lord for His church. And thereafter with His church, to establish a worldwide kingdom of righteousness and peace on the earth (I Thessalonians 4:13-18; Revelation 19:11-21; Isaiah 9:6,7; 32:17).

We believe it to be the supreme responsibility of the disciples of our Lord Jesus Christ to make His Gospel known to all men; that all who will might believe and be saved (Matthew 28:19,20; Mark 16:15; Acts 1:8).
